Born in Oakland, California, and raised in the San Francisco bay area, Shaunte’ Garrett, AKA “Lady Shaunte’”, was  named one of the Forty Under 40 “Inspired Leaders For Tomorrow” by the San Diego Urban League and one of Ebony Magazine’s Sexy Singles of the year!  Lady Shaunte’ has been nominated for numerous awards including the GMWA 2006 “Horizon Award” and is the 2009 Stellar Award Winner for Gospel Announcer of The Year! She is presently the on-air mid-day host and station manager at 790AM & 104.9FM “The Gospel” in Nashville TN which she led to another Stellar Award Win for radio station of the year in 2013 formerly under (WENO 760AM).

She is presently the writer for the nationally syndicated Donnie McClurkin radio show. 

In January 2010, Lady Shaunte’ released her first book entitled “Speak To Your Life” which is an inspirational 365 daily devotional and has worked for Soul Train, MTV, and the Source Awards in their talent departments.

Lady Shaunte’ has a Bachelor’s degree in Radio Broadcasting and is a licensed cosmetologist. She has used her license at children’s group homes in the community to cut and style children’s hair.

She has been involved in the Kairos Prison Ministry in San Diego County which provides support to women who have family members who are incarcerated and the Bridge Ministry here in Nashville TN who cater to the unhoused population. 


As a youth leader she has served in her former church and community where she emphasizes “right relationship with God through obedience” and as a life group leader and prayer partner at her current place of worship, Nashville Life Church.

Lady Shaunte’ was recently named one of Nashville’s Most Beautiful People by Nashville Lifestyles Magazine and believes her calling is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to the masses. She gives all honor and praise to God for everything He continues to do in her life.

She is available for speaking engagements, voice-overs, event hosting and panel discussions.
