Born in Dallas, TX, raised in Louisville, KY, Q Joseph Kent, commonly known as “Quoir Boy”, cut his teeth in Gospel radio in high school. After assisting with hosting a live church morning show one Sunday morning, he asked the board operator how to get into radio. That next week, he started training and eventually became a weekend personality for Louisville’s WLLV 1240 AM and WLOU 1350 AM. Q Joseph moved into a career of videography and graphic design in his college years at the University of Louisville. He earned his Bachelors of Arts in Communications from UofL and a Masters of Science in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University. He has also worked as a board operator for Louisville’s WGZB 96.5 FM and WMJM Magic 101.3 FM.
The “Quoir Boy” moniker comes from Q Joseph’s affinity for singing and from his nickname in his fraternity. He is an active member of the Omega Lambda Lambda (Hendersonville, TN) Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and of James A. Myers PHA F&AM Lodge #349 in Nashville, TN, where he believes in helping the community dwell together in unity.
Q Joseph has been singing since the age of 4 in various church choirs and has been writing music since the age of 11. As a 3rd generation ordained minister, he believes that music is his greatest gift, talent, and anointing.
You can catch “Quoir Boy” on the airways throughout the week and on Saturday mornings playing that “Gospel you can feel” on 760 AM the Gospel.
Quoir Boy is also available for event hosting, voiceovers, speaking engagements, guest sermons, and panel discussions.
